Welcome to No Paws Left Behind!

No Paws Left Behind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We will carry on the mission of Eleanor Sonsini by providing a safe haven for stray and homeless dogs and cats. At the end of July, 2023, the Board of Directors of the Friends of Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter announced they would be closing at the end of August, 2023. The Manager, Noelle Howland, was charged with finding homes for all of the animals left, 7 dogs and 20 cats. She immediately embarked on a fundraising journey to keep the shelter open until all animals were adopted out, and ultimately, to fund a new no-kill shelter carrying on the mission of Eleanor Sonsini, No Paws Left Behind.

Noelle is a recent graduate of Unity Environmental University, with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Health and Behavior, with a concentration in Sustainable Business. She has shown her dedication to animal care by being employed at the former Northern Berkshire K-9 facility and is a co-founder of Mutt and Strutt, offering dog walking and pet sitting services. She began working at the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter and immediately knew she loved helping shelter animals. Noelle is dedicated to give any animals in her care a voice and to find them the best home possible. We will be happy to have her leading the charge as Executive Director/Manager at the shelter upon opening!
